Bubble Rock is a limestone
mineral occurring most abundantly in Western Utah. Crystallization of
rocks takes millions of years through natural metamorphic processes. In
this packet, when directions are followed, the chemical reaction is a
similar but greatly speeded up process. (Up to 2 or 3 weeks). |

Bubble Rock, Utah.
Bubble Rock: Watch the tiny little aragonite
crystals appear and
gradually place themselves to form a cluster of beautiful pure white
blossom-like crystal clusters.
To "grow" your own Bubble Rock, choose a dish. Place
your stone in the dish and just cover with white vinegar only.
Crystals
will begin forming within a few days and will be finished forming
when the vinegar has totally evaporated. Let the crystals harden,
and protect and enjoy your rock garden for years. (Optional:
To produce a colorful "BUBBLE ROCK", add a drop of
food coloring of your choice to the vinegar).
