Allodesmus Karnensis Fossils
Allodesmus Karnensis is a species of giant sea lion that lived during the Miocene epoch, approximately 23 to 5 million years ago. It was first discovered in the late 1800s in California, and its fossils have been found in various locations along the Pacific coast of North America. Allodesmus Karnensis was a large animal, with males reaching up to 18 feet in length and weighing over 2,500 pounds. It had a long snout and sharp teeth that it used to catch fish and other prey. Its powerful flippers allowed it to swim quickly through the water, and it likely spent much of its time hunting in the open ocean.
