Hemimorphite specimens

 When I first saw these, I told Ray "Boy, these are beautiful! But what's all those clear crystals mixed in with it?" Ray explained to me that the clear crystals ~are~ the hemimorphite. The rust colored crystals they are encrusted with are a form of hematite.

Hemimorphite forms in the oxidation zone of lead-zinc deposits. It forms beautiful transparent or translucent orthorhombic crystals with a hardness of 5.
