Pyromorphite specimens

When found in large quantities, pyromorphite is used as an ore of lead. Hardness 3-1/2 to 4. While the predominant color of pyromorphite is commonly grass-green, it also occurs in green, yellow-orange, reddish orange, yellow-brown, brown, tan, grayish, and may be colorless. A secondary lead mineral found in the oxidized zones of lead deposits.

Pyromorphite crystals are normally prismatic, sometimes with hopper or skeletal growth but can also occur as drusy, globular, botryoidal and reniform masses.

Metaphysically, it is said that pyromorphite enhances the energies of other minerals; is said to attract money and other objects of wealth, and can help one see the steps to take to achieve goals, giving it the nickname "the Victory Stones".
