M547 - This interesting green mineral ( potassium aluminum silicate hydroxide fluoride) is composed of mica schist. It is a dark green variety of muscovite.
The green coloration is due to a high concentration of the element chromium.
These platy and scaly micas are from the province of Minas Gerias, Brazil, South America.
