M449 - Labradorite is so named because Labrador, Canada is the main source for this interesting stone. The specimens we sell are from Madagascar and they are ~way~ pretty! They have a high polish on one side and strongly reflect a gold or blue metallic sheen depending on the way they are held.
These pieces are about 1.5" to 2" on a side and about .75" thick. These specimens fluoresce a reddish color under a long wave ultraviolet light.
