Fire Agate is beautiful stuff! It looks like dark honey has been
poured over bubbles that have a gold, red or green sheen. It looks
great under normal room lighting, but it really shows its colors
under sunlight!

is prized as a semi-precious gemstone and makes beautiful stones
for all types jewelry. Agate is a member of the quartz family.
Silicon Dioxide. Hardness 7. Fire agate is considered a Chalcedony.
The beautiful colors of this stone are as a result of a play of
light on the translucent inner formation of the stone.
These specimens fluoresce a bright green color under a long wave ultraviolet
light.
