Apatite is a Calcium fluorine-chlorine-hydroxyl phosphate, often with some manganese and cerium. Hardness 5. Apatite may be found in many colors including green, brown, red, yellow, violet, pink, white, colorless and variation of these colors. Apatite has a hexagonal crystal system.
