Horn coral fossil, Stream worn, Indiana.
Horn coral specimens that were collected from a stream
in Indiana. The outside the specimens are quite worn but you can see the
coral structure on most of these on the top. These were deposited when
what is now Indiana was under shallow seas. (Wow!) These specimens are
Grewingkia rusticum from the Upper Ordovician. About 450 million rears
old.
