Horn coral fossil, Stream worn, Indiana.
Horn coral specimens that were collected from a
stream in Indiana. The outside the specimens are quite worn
but you can see the coral structure on most of these on the
top. These were deposited when what is now Indiana was under
shallow seas. (Wow!) These specimens are Grewingkia rusticum
from the Upper Ordovician.
About 450 million rears old.
