Real, honest to goodness, dinosaur fossils: bone, coprolite (dung) and egg shell. These fossil specimens are most likely from the herbivore type dinosaurs like the TRACHODON, a duck-billed-type dinosaur, or the IGUANDON, another plant eating dino. These hughmongus creatures grew to thirty feet in length and stood well over twenty feet high. So tall that they could have looked into a second floor window. The age of these fossils range from the lower cretaceous period, about 70 million-years old to about 150 million years. All three of these items have gone through a mineral displacement process, called petrification, and is now a silicate rock, a member of the quartz family.

The Fossil Pak contains three dinosaur fossils and a 4X hand magnifying glass to study the specimens. On the back of the header-card is a geologic time chart showing time periods and the age of each time period. These DINO-PAK are excellent items for the young, and old, paleontological student.

The word dinosaur means "terrible lizards." The fossilized dinosaur bone and coprolite (dung) are often cut and polished into beautiful gemstones.
