FR180 - A member of the mosasaurs group.
Large, bizarre "lizard/fish/alligator" marine reptiles that existed from the Middle to late Cretaceous age. (70 - 100 Million Years).
Platecarpus means "flat-wristed", which distinguishes the species.
These large marine reptiles reached a maximum length of about 45 feet.
Because dull teeth dropped from
the jaws of the Mosasaur
and were replaced by new ones (like modern day sharks), they never
lacked weapons with which to attack rivals or prey.
This replica measures 13.25" x 25.5" x 2"
