FR160 - Is it a bird or a dinosaur? The answer is yes. The Archaeopteryx was a feathered creature, about the size of a pigeon, which lived in what is now Europe about 150 million years ago. It is considered by many to be the first bird; however, it has many of the characteristics of a small dinosaur. There are only seven known specimens in the world today.
